Yes, we were just in Paris for Christmas. But guess what! We got to go back. We were invited to meet with the new Presiding Bishop of the Church, Gary Stevenson. He held meetings for the DTAs in African and Europe (2 in Europe and 2 in Africa). He selected France as a convenient place for everyone to come together. And boy was I happy!
The boys had to stay in meetings and the girls had museum passes and metro passes which we put to good use. We enjoyed the open top red bus tour around the city of Paris and hopped off once to walk through Notre Dame. We also spent one morning in the Louvre; ah, Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo! Enjoying crepes with friends is a must in Paris. The most popular topping is Nutella - made in France of course.
We took a boat ride up the Seine River with our husbands. Springtime in Paris is beautiful. Many of us went to the Basilique du Sacre-Coeur, the beautiful white church. Gregg and I enjoyed a visit to the Louvre and the Musee de Orsay. The Eiffel Tower at night is just spectacular.
Gregg had meetings with the Presiding Bishop and it looks like we'll be staying in Africa one more year. He seemed very happy with the work Gregg is doing in Africa.
