Vacation Time

I get to go home for General Conference in Salt Lake City!  Gregg and I leave shortly for Utah.  Gregg has meetings and then he has to return to Ghana.  But I get to be "Grandmother" for a couple of weeks before I return to Africa.  Our next blog post will most likely not occur until November 2010.

  1. I'm just getting to your blog for the first time. What a great idea! Travel safely, and I'll look for your posting in November.

  2. Hi, I was just speaking with two of my dear friends last night and this morning and they both happened to mention about your mission in Africa. Our dear friends that we were just speaking with last night at our home, were Cordon and Peggy Hunt (who sent us your blog link), and the other friend is Julie Jenkins who is one of the secretaries to Bishop Burton. I told both of them that my parents were leaving in a few weeks to go to the Ghana, Africa, and Accra temple mission, French speaking. They fly out on November 1st. This is their 6th mission, not counting their many years as temple missionaries in Idaho. My father is 85 and my mother 80. They are in great health and are so excited to be serving again. I hope they have a chance to meet you. This will be great for me to follow from your experiences, as I know they will not be blogging, but only e-mailing.
I know my parents have been in contact with the temple president. I'm sure you also know my other dear friend, Reanna Rosenvall, or at least her husband, who is Blake Rosenvall from the church. It's always a small world.
Good luck on your assignments and look forward to reading your blog. Best to both of you,
    Renee Packer (Layton, UT)
